Basic information about enterprises

SELECTED INDICATORS OF THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC SITUATION OF THE WIELKOPOLSKA REGION (as on 31 December 2020)

At the end of December 2020, in the economic register REGON for the Wielkopolska Region, 461,225 enterprises (national economy entities) were included (*)

Almost every tenth Polish company had its seat in Wielkopolska. Among regions, a greater number of enterprises operated only in Mazowieckie and Śląskie. Ca. 40% of entities in Wielkopolska were registered in Poznań or Poznań poviat.

The vast majority (96.1%) of entities registered in Wielkopolska were micro-enterprises employing less than 10 employees. The share of small enterprises (10-49 employees) amounted to 3.2% of the total, the remaining 0.7% were medium and large enterprises.

Wielkopolska has a higher entrepreneurship index than the average in Poland, expressed in the number of entities in the REGON register per 10,000 working age population.
